Dr. William Fombelle
Will Fombelle is the Director of Health for the Carthage System. He also serves as a veterinarian on the board of Carthage Veterinary Service. Will joined Carthage after graduating from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Will had spent two summers with Carthage as a sow production intern in 2009 and as a veterinary student in 2012.
After graduation, Will was able to complete an 18 month role as a production veterinarian solely responsible for learning sow production in the Carthage System sow farms.
Over the past several years, Dr. Fombelle has been able to assist in the growth of the Carthage System into Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio focusing on gilt multiplication, wean to market production, gilt breeding projects, and new farm startups.
Dr. Fombelle holds a B.S. degree in Agricultural Science from Illinois State University and a DVM degree from the University of Illinois.
